Day-by-day Itinerary
Day 1 Kawthaung

After immigration clearance at Kawthaung jetty, your boat will leave for Kyat Mauk island, where you will find limestone cliffs, caves and long white sandy beaches similar to Koh Phi Phi in Thailand. Explore the island and enjoy snorkeling among the colourful soft corals close to the shoreline, and look out for turtles, stingrays and vividly coloured fish.

Day 2 Moken villages

Continue your island tour, stopping along the way to visit Moken villages; the ‘sea gypsies’ have lived their nomadic way of life for hundreds of years, and are able to dive to extraordinary depths, holding their breath for extended periods of time. Head out for an afternoon of fishing and learn to catch lobsters, barracuda and other fish the traditional way.

Days 3-4 Macloed Island

Macleod Island is one of the most beautiful in the archipelago; its natural springs make it ideal for habitation and its sandy white coves provide perfect shelter. There are three main beaches that you can explore by kayaking around; look out for manta rays, as they are known to come and feed in this area. Explore the island terrain and climb to its highest peak, which gives you panaromic views of the vivid blue water and the distant islands beyond. After your hike, the main beach is perfect for languishing around in the sun with a drink by your side. Some of the island’s coves host great snorkeling sites, while a hidden beach on the far side of the island is only accessible on foot.

Day 5 Kawthaung

Visit some of the islands closer to the mainland and, at the end of your Myeik Archipelago adventure, head back to Kawthaung – where we’ll help you go through customs for further travel in Myanmar or a transfer to Ranong, Thailand.

If you would like a shorter or an extended trip around the Myeik Archipelago, or you would you like to travel northwards to other parts of Myanmar, our travel advisors will be able to arrange this for you – along with any other travel, accommodation or activity requirements you may have.
