Day-by-day Itinerary
Day 1 Yangon - Bagan

Fly from Yangon to Bagan in the morning and, after settling in your hotel, start exploring the ancient temples of the plain. See the Ananda Pagoda, dating from the 12th century and famed for its gilded sikhara tower at its peak, and the Gubyaukgyi Pagoda, with its extensive murals of the Buddha in his previous lives.

Choose from bicycle, car or horse and cart to get around the temples, pagodas and ruins and, later in the day, climb up the Gawdawpalin or Bupaya pagodas for perfect panoramic sunset views.

Day 2 Bagan

After breakfast, head to Nyaung U to enjoy its bustling streets and lively market and then get away from the crowds by exploring the riverside temples and pagodas in the rolling hills to the north of the town.

Have a sumptuous lunch and then take a look at the intricate lacquerware and artisan crafts in the village of Myinkaba. After the heat of the day, head back to relax by your hotel pool and later on watch the sun set over the Irrawaddy River.

We can arrange hot-air balloon rides that will give you spectacular sunrise views of the Bagan plain (additional charge and must be booked in advance).

Day 3 Bagan - Yangon

Depending on departure time, there may be some time to do some more sightseeing in the morning and visit the archaeological museum before returning to Yangon.
